Williamsburg James City County Public School District Highlights

  • All WJCC schools earned full accreditation for the 11th year in a row. In the last five years, only 13 Virginia school divisions had all schools maintain full accreditation.
  • Named to the Top Ten in the 2017 Digital School Districts Survey, WJCC was one of only five Virginia school divisions to earn recognition.
  • The WJCC 1:1 laptop program provides students with a laptop for school and home use to support research, collaboration, and project work.

  • Mean SAT scores for Lafayette students exceeded the Virginia state average.
  • Eighty-four percent of graduates continue on to 2-year or 4-year colleges.
  • Students may participate in the competitive New Horizons Governor's School for Science and Technology.
  • Offers the Williamsburg-James City County Honors Seal Diploma for students who complete rigorous academic, service, and research requirements.
